Burkwood Osmanthus, Osmanthus burkwoodii is a dense dark green evergreen hedging plant with the bonus of fragrant jasmine-like flowers in April and May. Like many white flowering plants, the fragrance carries a good distance, particularly in the evening so this is an ideal hedge to plant near the house / patio. If you trim the hedge after flowering, it will increase the flowering for the following year.
