Details / Key Facts

Photinia Red Robin (Photinia x fraseri) makes a striking alternative to an evergreen hedge due to its bright red glossy leaves and clusters of small white flowers in springtime. It doesn’t make a very dense hedge so may not be suitable for perimeter hedging for security purposes. It should be trimmed in spring and summer for a formal hedge or as required for a less formal appearance. Prefers a sunny site but will tolerate some shade. Soils should be well drained.
